caffeinated.org

Social:

Not only did I love coffee for its flavor, but also for the social aspect. It promotes conversations to go past our normal boundaries and to build relationships.

Speed:

I happened to live in one of the two cities that were pilot testers for the new cable internet connectivity (@Home) which gave me unheard of internet speeds at the time... it was like the internet on caffeine.

Creativity:

I loved developing in Java, even when it was only in its infancy. It opened the door to so much creativity and power on the web, as well as local networks and systems.

Why caffeinated.org?
Well, it started back in 1995 when I took a career path change into development and network services engineering. Java applications and web development drew me in, but the power of Unix took me by storm. I began hosting all of my own services; web, databases, mail, DNS, NTP, CVS, and so on. I became a jack-of-all-trades in IT.

I needed a domain that spoke about ME... and caffeinated.org was born.
