I loved coffee, not only for the flavor but for the social aspect as well. It makes way for conversations to go past our normal boundaries and to build relationships.

I @Home cable internet while they were in their beta testing stage, one of only two cities in the U.S. to take part, which gave me unheard of internet speeds at the time! My internet connection was like me on coffee.

I loved developing in Java, even when it was only in its infancy. It opened the door to so much creativity and power on the web, as well as local networks and systems.

Well, it started back in 1995 when I took a career path change into development and network services engineering. Java applications and web development drew me in, but the power of Unix took me by storm. I began hosting all of my own services; web, databases, mail, DNS, NTP, CVS, and so on. I became a jack-of-all-trades in IT.

I needed a domain that spoke about ME... and was born.
